I have a lot of fun listening and learning about my Native American Heritage. It is very exciting and interesting, though sometimes sad to read about the way my ancestors lived so near here, so very long ago. When I read about them, it is almost like I could close my eyes and go back in time and see the little Indian children running barefoot through the hills and playing stick ball, or smell the delicious aroma of an old Indian woman cooking the catch from the latest hunt on an open fire. I can imagine sitting around and listening to the 'story-teller' telling the legends and myths. One of my favorite places to visit on the internet is Blue Dawn's Native Genealogy. This site was created by my mom, and has lots of surnames and history of our family's heritage.
